School of Business Internship

Portfolio Requirements

Business students who enroll in an internship for academic credit are required to create an Electronic Internship Portfolio to document their professional development and internship activities. The Internship Portfolio is composed of assignments periodically submitted by the student throughout the internship.

The Internship Portfolio will include the following assignments that are described below and are posted on eiu online (d2l). Go to the Assessment Tab and click on Dropbox.

1.  Progress Reports
2.  Work Logs
3.  Evaluations
4.  Major Project: Internship Poster Assignment (if required)
5.  Final Internship Report

You should submit all assignments through eiu online (d2l) on or before the due date. Your assignment schedule will include a final deadline for submission of all assignments. Your final grade for the internship will be based on the Internship Portfolio and documentation of completion of required hours. All internships are graded on a credit/no credit basis.

A grade of 2 will indicate that no revisions or additions are needed. Any necessary revisions or additions will be requested in the comments for the assignment in eiu online (d2l). Revisions should be made and the assignment should be resubmitted through eiu online (d2l).
