The new Doudna Fine Arts Center is open

The new Doudna Fine Arts Center is now open. Although contractors are still in the building finalizing construction, the building is ready for faculty and students when fall semester classes begin on Monday, August 25.

The new fine arts center is nearly 270,000 sq. feet; three times the size of the original arts center. The new theatre arts wing stretches across Seventh Street to what was once the University's Health Services building. The top of the theatre is over 85 feet in height, making it among the highest points on campus. The art and music departments are located in the newly constructed wing west of the existing Dvorak Concert Hall. For information contact (217) 581-2113.
