Going to (the Royal) Court: A Visitor’s Guide

Professor Robert Bucholz of Loyola University of Chicago
Has published and spoken widely on the English court from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries queenship, and has been an invited lecturer in royal palaces and on the BBC, and a commentator on royal ritual on radio and television. “Going to (the Royal) Court” presents the ins and outs of the premodern court and its relation to the modern age. This talk is part of a Premodern Global Studies Day co-sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the English and History Departments.
