EIU Master of Arts in Music

All students can apply to the graduate school through MyEIU. The graduate school requires:

1. A complete online application
2. A copy of your official transcripts
3. A $30 application fee

Thank you for your interest in graduate study at Eastern Illinois University. To be eligible for degree candidacy, applicants must meet all of the requirements for admission to the Graduate School.

1. Read and fill out the appropriate document:
Student Cohort Agreement MA-Music Ed (doc)
2. Mail or e-mail a statement of interest, a resume, and two letters of recommendation to Dr. Danelle Larson, Department of Music Online MA Program Graduate Coordinator. The letters of recommendation may be sent or emailed directly to Dr. Danelle Larson (dlarson@eiu.edu)

3. Concentration requirement for Music Education – Undergraduate degree in music education and a minimum of one year teaching experience required.
