EIU Humanities Center

What We Do

EIU's Center for the Humanities oversees two main areas of focus: 1) programming events (visiting speakers, workshops, and discussions) for campus and community participants, and 2) developing and administering curricular opportunities.

Events, Workshops, and Discussions

Starting in the Fall of 2018, we began First Fridays on the first Friday of the month.

The Center has organized workshops and discussion groups, often co-sponsoring with  the Faculty Development & Innovation Center on a number of topics of interest to faculty and to the community.
