Students, you need to start preparing for commencement long before the big day arrives, so be sure to check this page for details on applying for graduation, ordering caps and gowns, picking up guest tickets, and more.

Graduation announcement purchases can be made online at Herff-Jones.
Ninth Street Productions, a service of WEIU-TV produces a professional, multi-camera production of each graduation ceremony. Copies can be ordered the day of the ceremony or by downloading the form below. Copies will be mailed 4 to 6 weeks after graduation. Past graduation ceremony DVD's are available as well and are listed on the downloadable form.
The cost is $25 each and $10 each for any additional copies. DVDs can also be purchased at the WEIU online store at www.weiu.net.
Visit Herff Jones to order your cap and gown online. Select "Eastern Illinois University" from the drop-down menu. Place your orders early! A $20 late charge will be added to orders placed after April 1.
You must order a cap and gown. Ordering your cap and gown indicates that you plan to participate in commencement ceremonies.
If you are a graduate with special needs please contact Alumni Services immediately to make necessary arrangements at 217-581-6892.
Tickets for special needs guest seating will be available. Please let us know if you need special needs tickets when you pick up your tickets. If you have any questions, please call Alumni Services at 217-581-6892. Guests will be responsible for bringing any special equipment (wheelchair, walker, etc.) they may need.
Permanent on-campus spaces are designated for persons with disabilities.
A sign language interpreter will be located near the stage. Tickets for special seating will be available. Please call Alumni Services for more information at 217-581-6892. Hearing assist receivers (Frequency 72.900 MHZ Wideband) will be available at the First Aid Station.

Upon the request of the graduate, tickets can be held for pickup on Commencement day from the Ticket Office in the main concourse of Lantz Arena after 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5. For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for ticket distribution, please e-mail a ticket request, including your name, e-number and major, to Marty Hackler at mlhackler@eiu.edu.
You must present ID and sign for your allotted guest tickets. NO ADMITTANCE WILL BE ALLOWED WITHOUT A TICKET.
For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for ticket distribution please e-mail a ticket request, including your name, e-number and major, to Marty Hackler at mlhackler@eiu.edu.
Tickets requested through e-mail will be distributed from the Ticket Office in the main concourse of Lantz Arena after 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5.

If the graduate cannot be on campus until Commencement day they can pick up their cap and gown in the Fieldhouse of Lantz Arena any time between 7:30 am and 5:45 pm on May 5.
