Internship Information for Graduate Students

KSS 5980 Internship in Sports Administration

 

Description:

A supervised experience in the various aspects of sports administration. Student will be assigned to a hosting agency which could a school or college; a sports arena, a stadium, recreation area, or a professional team. Internship may be repeated for 3 credit hours (120 hours work experience) with permission of department chair.  

Please Note: An internship provides an excellent networking opportunity that could lead to full-time employment. It is expected that you will dress, speak, and act professionally at all times. Your professionalism will strongly influence the job opportunities you receive following your internship. You are receiving college credit for the internship and therefore, it should take priority over other commitments.

Requirements for Internships:

Internship Job Description is due the first week of the internship experience.

Internship Agreement MUST be typed and submitted before internship experience.

Initial Report: Due after the first week of your internship experience.

Weekly Logs (First half) & Midterm Evaluation: Due after completing 60 hours.

Weekly Logs (Second half) & Final Evaluation & Final Report: Due after completion of internship or by the last day of class at the latest.
