The following items are available for checkout. Their loan periods are listed. All patrons must sign an agreement certifying they take responsibility for the item(s) and their safe and timely return.

 Tips and Tricks for Students!

Looking for advice on how to be the awesome student we know you can be? Look no further!

Check out the links below for helpful videos and advice from our team here at the Student Success Center!

Get Organized - College life involves a ton of academic responsibilities topped off with a huge dose of social activities. It’s challenging to balance work and fun. Get and stay organized so you can succeed and have time for friends! (and yourself!)
Note Taking - Better notes will help you remember concepts, develop meaningful learning skills, and gain a better understanding of a topic. Effective notes will even lead to less stress when test time comes around!
Stay Motivated - It can be hard for students to stay productive, focused, and motivated while studying or doing homework. Being productive and motivated can lead to more time for relaxation and fun!
Study Tips - Studying – it’s the most dreaded activity by college students everywhere, but it’s a necessity when it comes to maintaining good grade and acquiring a degree.
Project Planning - Projects often require extensive time and energy. Therefore, it is important to plan and give yourself the time you need to complete projects to the best of your ability!
Time Management - Time is one of the most important resources available to students. Effective time management is a difficult skill that takes a lot of practice to acquire and it is okay to feel overwhelmed!
Making Decisions - The process of making a decision can be life-changing and students are often faced with a multitude of decisions daily. It is important to weigh all of the options and remember that decisions do not have to be made alone.
Connecting With Faculty - EIU faculty and professors all have one thing in common...they are here for you!
Campus Resources - It is so important to remember that you are not alone! EIU has so many campus resources available to all students in order to help them succeed on their journey to academic success.
Envision Your Future - Keep the finish line in sight.
