Dear Members of the EIU Community,
Thank you for the feedback that you shared with me regarding the draft of
recommendations for sexual assault/violence prevention and intervention.
We certainly recognize that students at EIU, like students everywhere in
the United States, can be victimized by sexual assault, relationship
violence, and other forms of gendered violence. We are committed to
working together to make EIU the safest, most responsive university
possible.

Recommendations have been added as a result of the feedback that I
received. Progress made on some of the recommendations has been noted.
I would like to thank the members of the University's Sexual Assault Task

working with me in the days and months to come to move these
recommendations forward.
