Subject: Temporary Flexible Work Schedule Policy extension
Dear Campus Community:
As the semester nears its end, we recognize that your local school district may continue beyond our Temporary Flexible Work Schedule Policy end date. With this in mind, EIU has extended the Temporary Flexible Work Schedule Policy until close of business Friday, June 4, 2021. This extension will help accommodate those who may still have child care needs as the local school districts end their academic years as well.
If you currently have arrangements with your department to work a flexible schedule due to child care needs as a result of COVID-19, please discuss your needs with the Department Director and appropriate Vice-President to determine if your temporary flexible schedule can continue until your local school has completed the year, up through June 4, 2021.
As we look forward to a new fall semester and fresh academic year, we hope the summer brings continued health as we acclimate to life in a healthier and safer post-COVID environment.
