EIU has an on-campus police force and works closely with the city of Charleston police force as well. For more information about UPD, please visit their website. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
On the EIU campus there are 22 emergency phones that you may use in the event of an emergency. They are identifiable by the blue light at the top of the poll. More information about the emergency phones can be found here.
We will have staff on each floor at the conference that serve as support staff for the duration of the conference. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact them. We also have a Night Assistant security program where students complete rounds and provide additional building security after the front desk closes.
The Lawson Hall Desk will be open in the event that guests may be locked out or need additional support.
