Thank you for registering for the upcoming Spring Fest Art Fair sponsored by Eastern Illinois University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Doudna Fine Arts Center. The purpose of the Art Fair is to assist EIU's Art+Design Department in raising funds for Art+Design Scholarships, as well as promoting the art life of those who reside in east central Illinois and throughout the Midwest.
The Art Fair will include roughly 30 booth spots and a consignment area.
Please know that the Art Fair will take place indoors and outdoors on a concrete floor.
All artwork must be original and made by the participating artist. The EIU Art & Design Department reserves the right to refuse any entries which do not conform to the specifications, or which are deemed unsuitable or inappropriate for the Art Fair.
The artist may sell their own original artwork themselves by renting space during the Art Fair. Artists must be present throughout the Art Fair.
Booth fee is due once an artist has been accepted.
The sale of the artwork will be supervised by the Art+Design Department with the assistance of volunteers. Artists’ participating in the Table Sale are not required to be present during the sale. On the date for picking up unsold work, each artist will receive a summary sheet indicating the results of their sales. A check for all works sold will be sent to the artist within four weeks of the sale. No Booth Fee is required, but a commission of 40% (20% for students) will be retained from the sale price of each work sold. All proceeds support Art+Design Scholarships.
Please know: All artists will be equally represented in the sale. If you have too many works to be displayed, EIU representatives will exhibit the work, then replenish as works are sold. Each work of art will be labeled by the Art+Design Department with the artist’s ID# and sale price.
Overnight security on Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21 will be provided, however, the Board of Trustees for Eastern Illinois University for Doudna Festivals assumes no responsibility for loss or damage of any kind at any time to artists’ work and other personal property including damage due to weather conditions.
Acceptance will be sent out the week of April 17. Acceptance or rejection is at the discretion of the Art+Design Department whose decision is final.
The Doudna Festivals Art Fair is a juried show. Along with their application, applicants must submit three (3) images of their work and one of their display area to one of the emails below.
