The Department of Art + Design – Department of Art Education announces the 36th Annual Media and Methods in Art Conference on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the state of the art Doudna facility located on the Eastern Illinois University campus.
This conference will feature nine hands-on workshops exploring a variety of art media and techniques. Workshops are designed for elementary, middle, and senior grade levels and are applicable for a variety of audiences. Conference participants will attend three hands-on workshops. Conference attendees can receive either graduate credit or professional development hours.
Workshops have limited enrollment so please register early.
The Media & Methods conference began in 1985 as a way to provide art teachers throughout Illinois who are teaching in the K-12 schools an opportunity to learn and grow in their profession. The conference allows classroom art teachers a chance to collaborate with like-minded individuals and to experience new art media, techniques, tools and processes.
The EIU Department of Art + Design works closely with the School of Extended Learning in the planning and preparation for this conference
