Secretary of State Mobile Services: Tuesday, January 10, 9AM - 3PM in the MLK Union Bridge Lounge. Services offered: driver's license or state ID card (renewal, replacement, corrections), vehicle sticker sales, collegiate license plates, organ/tissue donor registration, vehicle title and registration, parking placards for persons with disabilities and passengar/b-truck license plates.

Panther Palooza RSO Fair: Wednesday, January 11, 10AM - 3PM in the MLK Union Grand Ballroom. Come be part of this tradition at EIU that showcases over 200 diverse student organizations Eastern has to offer! This is a HUGE opportunity to market your student organizations to new students and show returning students what new things you're doing. Sponsered by EIU Student Government.  

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: Monday, January 16, 12:30PM - 4:00PM in the MLK Union University Ballroom. EIU students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in EIU’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. This national service day is a great way to show your spirit to serve.

Martin Luther King Jr. March and Candlelight Vigil: Monday, January 16, 5:00PM - 10:00PM in the MLK Union Grand Ballroom. Hosted by the Zeta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. 

Study Abroad Summer Showcase: Tuesday, January 17, 10:00AM - 3:00PM in the MLK Union University Ballroom. Come to the Summer 2012 Showcase and learn more about how you can spend your summer in places like Italy, China or South Africa while getting college credit! Meet the faculty leading the study abroad programs and students who have already studied abroad.

CBSI Blood Drive: Wednesday, January 18, 1:00PM - 7:00PM in the MLK Union University Ballroom. Community Blood Services of IllinoisSince 1972, Community Blood Services of Illinois (CBSI) has served as the link between blood donors and patients in east central Illinois. Licensed by FDA and hold membership in America's Blood Centers and the American Association of Blood Banks.

Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting: Friday, January 20, 1:00PM - 4:00PM in the MLK Union Grand Ballroom. Open to the public.  

Technology Celebration and Recognition Day: Tuesday, January 24, 8AM - 4PM in the MLK Union University and Grand Ballrooms. Presented by CATS Academic Technology. Inlcudes workshops, keynote speakers, panel presentations, information sessions, research presentations, appreciation and achievement awards, and a reception to recognize “Technology Pioneers at EIU.”

The Martin Luther King Jr. University Union will strive to provide services and programs in response to students' physical, social, recreational and educational needs. The union also seeks to serve the campus and community by providing a center for meetings, conferences, banquets and camps.
