EIU Department of Training and Development

Preventing Sexual Harassment

Preventing Sexual Harassment training is provided and administered by EIU's Office of Civil Rights and Diversity.  The training assists employees, including student employees, in learning how to identify and prevent harassment and how to report concerns and complaints.

New employees

All NEW employees (including student workers and graduate assistants) are required to complete training on preventing harassment (including sexual harassment) and discrimination within 30 days of employment. The training program is administered by EVERFI, our designated training vendor. New employees will receive an email directly from EVERFI with the training link.

ALL employees must complete training on preventing harassment (including sexual harassment) and discrimination annually. The designated training period is October 1st-31st of each year.  Notification regarding the training is sent via email to all employees including student workers and graduate assistants followed by an email sent directly from EVERFI with a link to the training.
