Come out to EIU's tenth annual MLK Day of Service and make a difference in your local community! The annual event honors Dr. King’s legacy and is an opportunity for Americans to renew their own personal vows of citizenship through service to others. MLK Day of Service is a national commitment to service and our community!
Volunteers who are doing indirect service projects on campus are asked to check-in on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at 2:45 pm in the University Ballroom. Service projects will last from 3-5 pm. Off campus projects will happen at various times on Monday Jan. 21, however transportation is provided. See the sign up information on Volunteer Now for more details on these projects.
Individuals can sign up by clicking here! Volunteers will not need to choose a specific project as all volunteers will work together on various projects.
Groups of 10 volunteers or more may sign up by the group form with your group name, number of volunteers, name of all volunteers, and volunteers email addresses.
Service projects will include working at Standing Stone Community Center, putting together receipe books for our food pantries, fleece blankets, Charleston Transitional Facility, creating decorative coasters, Grandma's Got Gmail, and love bugs, among other projects.
