There are a limited number of EIU positions in which employees are designated to work off-site due to the nature of their work responsibilities and where the work takes place. Examples of positions that have off-site designated headquarters includes the governmental liaison, regional admissions counselors responsible for specific territories away from the Charleston campus, student teaching supervisors, and technology employees on state grant projects located in Springfield.
Work plans of employees assigned off-site designated remote headquarters must include an accountability process for assessing overall productivity and quality of remote work on a regular on-going basis, as well as part of the formal annual evaluation process.
