As a student within the Kinesiology and Sports Studies Department, you are probably eligible for a number of program-specific scholarships at Eastern Illinois University. Below you can find information related to scholarships offered through the KSS department as well as other scholarships.
Students are also encouraged to visit the EIU Financial Aid Site. Once in the site, click on 'EIU Scholarship Search Engine' and enter your year of school and degree program to see a list of scholarships available.
All Kinesiology and Sports Studies Scholarships are awarded through student application, including faculty recommendation. Students may apply for scholarships from February 3 - March 3.
Many scholarships list a required major in Physical Education. All Kinesiology & Sports Studies majors are eligible to apply for these scholarships, unless a certain concentration is listed.
- Students who are awarded scholarships will be notified by phone by Friday, April 11, 2014.
- Recipients will be invited and honored at the Kinesiology & Sports Studies Awards Day on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Scholarship Due Date:
All scholarship application forms and supporting materials are due in the Kinesiology and Sports Studies Office (2506 Lantz) no later than 4:00 p.m., on Monday, March 3, 2014.
