STUDENTS: File your 2017-2018 FAFSA immediately, if you have not already filed. Please see below for an important announcement from ISAC.
2017-18 MAP Deadline: Dec. 21, 2016
EIU has been notified by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission that the deadline for students to apply for Monetary Award Program (MAP) grants for the 2017-18 academic year is midnight on Dec. 21, 2016. Students meeting MAP criteria must complete the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) by Dec. 21 in order to receive the grant. Therefore, it is critically important to complete your FAFSA immediately. Please remember that the 2015 income tax information is what is needed to complete the FAFSA. Our Office of Financial Aid is here to assist you so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
For more information about the MAP Grant, please visit https://www.isac.org/isac-gift-assistance-programs/map/program-overview-map.html.
Also, EIU will begin sending out financial aid award letters in January. Therefore, it is also important to not only have your FAFSA complete by Dec. 21, but to have your EIU admissions application complete ASAP. Financial Aid Award letters cannot be sent out until you have officially been admitted to EIU.
Our Federal School Code is 001674.
