Monday, August 21st is the first disbursement of the Fall 2017 semester. Funds will not be posted to student accounts until after 5:00 PM. Please monitor your PAWS for updates to your student account. Due to many variables, not all students will disburse this first day. The second disbursement is Tuesday, September 5th and regular disbursements will resume each Monday and Wednesday beginning September 11th. There will be no disbursements made between the first and second disbursement dates.

2017-18 MAP Deadline: Jan. 15, 2017

EIU has been notified by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission that the deadline for students to apply for Monetary Award Program (MAP) grants for the 2017-18 academic year has been extended to midnight on Jan. 15, 2017. Students meeting MAP criteria must have completed the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) by Jan. 15, 2017, in order to receive the grant. Please remember that the 2015 income tax information is what is needed to complete the FAFSA. Our Office of Financial Aid is here to assist you so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.

EIU will begin sending out financial aid award letters in January. Therefore, it is important to not only have your FAFSA complete, but to have your EIU admissions application complete ASAP. Financial Aid Award letters cannot be sent out until you have officially been admitted to EIU.

Apply Now for 2017-2018 Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships encourages all students to apply early for financial aid and scholarships. To ensure full consideration for aid, submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after Oct. 1 of each year and search for scholarships using the links above as soon as possible after Jan. 1 of each year.
