Valid Photo ID Required For All Exams!


 

ACT Residual - For enrolled or admitted students who were unable to test on a national test date. Results are reported only to the college administering the test (in this case, EIU). No Student Reports or High School Reports are generated, and no Additional Score Reports will be generated to report scores to any other institution.

CLEP - The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know by earning qualifying scores on any of 34 examinations. Earn credit for knowledge you've acquired through independent study, prior course work, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits, or internships. Constitution & Health - EIU students seeking to graduate under catalogs PRIOR to the 1992-93 catalog, can choose to satisfy their Constitution and/or Health graduation requirements by passing the appropriate competency exam. Call for additional information.

SST (formerly DANTES) - It’s Your Life, Take Credit for It.  The DSST credit by exam program gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for life experience as a form of prior learning assessment. Recommended for credit by the American Council on Education, the 38 exams are offered in diverse subject areas such as health, ethics, finance and technology.  The DSST program is owned by Prometric, the global leader in testing and assessment, and has been placing students on the fast track to college degrees since 1974.  For more information go to www.GetCollegeCredit.com.

GMAT - The GMAT exam is a standardized assessment, delivered in English, that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. GRE - The GRE tests measure skills that assist graduate schools, business schools and departments with admissions activities, guidance and placement, program evaluation and selection of fellowship recipients. Registration and additional information available at:http://www.ets.org/gre/.

EIU will begin offering the GRE on select dates Spring 2015.

Test Date(s): The GRE General Test is offered year-round at computer-based test centers in the United States, Canada and many other countries. It is offered at paper-based test centers in areas of the world where computer-based testing is not available. See which format is available in your area.

Illinois Licensure Testing System - The Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) site has up-to-date registration and testing information, test preparation materials, and services that enable you to register and obtain unofficial test results online. Includes important announcements as well as test dates and registration deadlines. http://www.il.nesinc.com/

EIU is an authorized Pearson Vue Center offering most of the ILTS exams, including the APT.  We do NOT offer the following exams on campus:
IL115 (ILTS Mathematics)
IL143 (ILTS Music)
IL300 (ICTS Basic Skills)
IL400Z (ILTS Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP))

EIU offers paper-based testing on a limited basis!

MAT - The MAT (Miller Analogies Test) is a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies. TOEFL - The TOEFL® test (Test of English as a Foreign Language) measures your ability to communicate in English in colleges and universities. Additional information available at: http://www.ets.org/toefl EIU is a internet-based testing site.

Writing Competency Exam (WCE) - No longer offered. Contact Certifying Officer in your college for options/information. WCE Alternative Information available upon request. This requirement has been replaced by the Electronic Writing Portfolio (EWP).
