The Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at Eastern Illinois University prepares students to understand complex problems, think analytically, and build the technical skills needed in today’s data driven and technology focused world.
Whether your interests are in mathematics, computer science, or mathematics education, you will find programs designed to help you turn curiosity into real expertise. Students in the department learn from dedicated faculty who are deeply engaged in both teaching and research. Small class sizes allow for meaningful interaction with professors, while coursework emphasizes problem solving, logical reasoning, and practical application.
