In celebration of African American heritage Month, the Black Student Union would like to extend an invitation to the EIU community to attend the 52nd Annual Miss Black EIU Scholarship Pageant 2025, “A Diamond of the Season”.

The MBEIU Scholarship Pageant 2025 will showcase seven exceptional African American women vying for scholarships, prizes, special accolades, and the prestigious title of Miss Black EIU 2025.

About the Miss Black EIU Scholarship Pageant

For fifty years, the Black Student Union at Eastern Illinois University has proudly sponsored the annual Miss Black EIU Scholarship Pageant. This event stands as a cornerstone of African American Heritage Month celebrations, embodying a rich cultural legacy.

Since its inception in 1971, the pageant has served as a platform for celebrating African American culture, heritage, and achievements. It has empowered countless Black women, fostering pride, gratitude, and cultural understanding. Over the years, numerous contestants have embraced the opportunity to compete for the crown, eager to represent Eastern's African American community as the next Miss Black EIU.
