INTRODUCTION

Mr. Todd Baughman is a retired Army Major with nearly 22 years of service.  Originally from Dieterich, Illinois, he enlisted in the Army in 1987.   After serving almost 7 years as an enlisted member in Germany and Virginia, he returned home to Illinois to pursue an education.  Upon graduating from Eastern Illinois University in 1997, he was commissioned as an Active Duty Armor Officer.   

Mr. Baughman's assignments include Tank Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader and Troop Executive Officer, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado.  Battalion S4, and Alpha Company Commander, 2-69 Armor Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia.  Troop Commander, 5-15 Cavalry, Fort Knox, Kentucky.  ROTC Instructor, Illinois State University, Normal Illinois.  Military Transition Team Leader, Diyala Province, Iraq.

Mr. Baughman's deployments include Operation Provide Comfort, Turkey/Iraq, 1991, Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2003 and 2008.  

Mr. Baughman's Military education includes Distinguished Military Graduate, Eastern Illinois University ROTC, Armor Officer Basic Course, Scout Platoon Leaders Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Armor Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms and Service Staff School, M1A2 Transition Course, and the Military Combat Advisor Course. 

Mr. Baughman and his wife Susan reside in Mattoon, Illinois.  They have 3 children, Brandi, Brock, and Brett.
