Recipient of the George S. Westcott Band Award
I cannot express how honored I am to have been chosen as a recipient of the George S. Westcott Band Award and I would like to express just how grateful I am for your support not only for myself, but for other EIU students as well. My introduction to Eastern Illinois University came several years ago when I first attended Eastern Music Camp. [T]his scholarship has provided me with a much more positive view of my financial situation for the coming year and has eased the burden of the additional orders for materials throughout the school year. That is something that I really could not be more grateful for [and] I would like to sincerely thank the donor(s) of this award for selecting me. I believe I work very hard and to be recognized is a great honor and reward. I plan to do everything in my power to represent the prestige of this award through my actions in and out of the classroom.
