VISION
The department of Kinesiology and Sports Studies at Eastern Illinois University strives to become students’ first choice when deciding where to earn a degree in the areas of pedagogy, exercise science, athletic training, or sport management. KSS faculty will empower students to become responsible and contributing members of a healthy and active community. We will broaden their perspectives, enrich their awareness, and prepare them for meaningful careers within a global society.
MISSION
The mission of the department of Kinesiology and Sports Studies at Eastern Illinois University includes:
- Professionally preparing our students to gain the experience and knowledge needed for careers in pedagogy, exercise science, athletic training, or sport management.
- Guiding student learning in the development of skills, habits, and attitudes that promote health and wellness.
