The Campus Advising Network or CAN, is an organization that promotes cooperation and disseminates information to all advisors on campus. In principle the Network includes all academic advisors at EIU, but CAN is governed by a Steering Committee which meets monthly. Each college, as well as other areas that do advising, is represented by a member on the Steering Committee, who then disseminates information to the various major departments and advisors. The Steering Committee member from each college also acts as the voice for advisors in his or her college to CAN as a whole.
