Join fellow alumni and friends for our annual day at the ballpark to see the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Cincinnati Reds!

$65 per person includes a seat in the Redbird Row Party Suites (right field level 2) plus all food and beverages. Five dollars from each ticket will go towards Legacy Scholarships.

Reach Out to Prospective Panthers

Looking to get involved but limited on time? We’re looking for alumni volunteers to help recruit the best and brightest students to EIU. Volunteers will work with our admissions team to represent Eastern at spring college fairs throughout the state of Illinois. To learn more click here.

2010-2011 Legacy Scholarship Applications

Applications for the 2010-2011 Legacy Scholarships are now being accepted by the Alumni Services office through Thursday, Feb. 11.

To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following requirements.

• The recipient shall be a child or grandchild of an Eastern Illinois University graduate.
• The recipient shall begin his/her first semester at Eastern Illinois University in the fall of the calendar year in which the award is given
• The recipient shall have a minimum of a 4.0 GPA on a 5.0 scale.
• The recipient shall demonstrate enthusiastic and outstanding leadership as evidenced by his/her involvement in extracurricular activities.

Applicants should send a letter, detailing how they meet the qualifications of this scholarship (including how she or he is related to an Eastern alumna/us and if that person is a member of the EIU Alumni Association), two letters of recommendation and an official copy of their high school and/or college transcripts to:

Join the EIU Alumni Association Board of Directors

Applications are currently being accepted for vacancies on the EIU Alumni Association Board of Directors. Qualified candidates must have a strong commitment to Eastern and share the desire to see our alumni association and university reach new heights.

The board meets quarterly to provide association operational counsel, direction in alumni programming efforts as well as assist various University bodies with their respective endeavors. Meetings are typically held the last Saturday of the month in January, April and July and during Homecoming weekend. Meetings are held on campus with the exception of the July gathering, which is in Chicago.

Board members are elected to three-year terms with the opportunity to serve up to three terms. Interested individuals should send a letter of application stating his/her reasons to serve and a résumé to Steve Rich (information below) by Friday, March 26, 2010.
