Abraham
Lincoln lived in this log cabin near Charleston, Illinois
until
he was 20 years old. He worked hard on the farm
raising
farm animals and building log cabins for other people.
This
house is in Springfield, Illinois, and is the only house
that
Abraham Lincoln ever owned. He raised his family here
and
worked very hard being a good lawyer.
With
hard work and dedication, Lincoln finally moved
to the
White House in Washington, D.C. He lived here
while
he led our country through the Civil War.
