The Advertising minor provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the promotion of products and services to various markets. Not only do students learn how to create and design persuasive messages, they also develop an understanding of the guiding theoretical forces behind how advertising functions and why it works.
As an interdisciplinary program of study, the Advertising minor exposes students to concepts from multiple disciplines including Communication Studies, Business, Technology, Journalism, and Marketing. This approach exposes students to multiple perspectives concerning the creation and critical examination of campaigns and strategies.
