The Clinical Laboratory Science program represents a revision of the Medical Technology program. The name change more appropriately describes the discipline and represents a nationwide trend. The program provides students with a solid foundation in management, computer, and problem solving skills, as well as a strong science background. The program is a good foundation for students wanting to pursue graduate work in forensic science.
Students in this program complete 90 credits on Eastern's campus, and then take clinical courses at an affiliated hospital during their senior year. Upon completion of these courses students graduate with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and are eligible for national board certification.
