Eastern Illinois University is unveiling a new multifaceted financial aid program that can
significantly reduce—and in some cases completely offset—tuition and fee costs for qualified Illinois
students who enroll at EIU.
EIU will offset the remaining balance of a student’s tuition and fee costs for resident families
demonstrating a family income of $61,000 or less.

Student is an Illinois resident and meets AIM HIGH Grant requirements
Incoming Freshman enrolled full time and has a 18 ACT / 960 SAT with a 3.0 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
Student must be admitted to EIU with financial aid packaged by April 1st.
EIU will match the out-of-pocket cost of attendance of any regionally accredited public university in
Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin. To qualify, Illinois students can
submit their Financial Aid Award letters from qualifying institutions in those states.

By combining Merit Scholarship benefits with state-funded AIM HIGH Grant funds, qualified Illinois students will be eligible to receive scholarship funds ranging from $10,000 to $18,000 over four years (8 semesters) via EIU’s renewable scholarship bonus.
