Jenni Passig

Jenni Passig has been teaching at Eastern since the fall semester of 2011 and is very excited to have returned "home". Jenni received her BA in Theatre Arts from this very department, earning departmental honors during her time of study here. Jenni continued her education at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, receiving her MA in Speech, with a concentration in Theatre. She also is currently in her candidicy for her MFA in Acting from Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri.
Jenni enjoys teaching and directing at EIU, as well as serving as a faculty member of the Women's Studies Department. She has a special interest in African American Theatre History studies, women in theatre, childrens theatre, improvisation, and specialty opportunities to explore works of specific playwrights, such as Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, August Wilson, Suzan-Lori Parks, Brian Friel and Neil Simon to name a few. Jenni is a member of Alpha Psi Omega, honorary theatre fraternity and has served in various leadership positions in undergraduate and graduate school.
She also volunteers as a Faculty Fellow in Thomas Hall and loves the opportunity to meet new students across campus. Jenni serves as the Chapter Advisor for the Zeta Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi International Fraternity on campus. Jenni also works in the community as a Troop Leader for her daughters Daisy Girl Scout Troop.
