INTRODUCTION

Dr. Hur (MPA. New York University, MA. Economics. Syracuse University, PhD. Ohio State University) teaches in Proseminar in Public Policy Research and Analysis, Research Methods in Public Administration and Public Policy, and American Government.

Prior to joining EIU, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Ohio State University and a guest researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 

His research interests include public policy analysis, performance management, and human resource management. His work has been published in the International Review of Administrative Sciences, Policy Studies, Human Resource Development QuarterlyPLoS ONE, and Asian Journal of Human Resources. He has a book chapter in the Legacy of Chester Barnard in Contemporary Scholarship in Mastering Public Administration: From Max Weber to Dwight Waldo.
