MS in Kinesiology and Sports Studies

EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY is a public university established in 1895. I came to EIU in spring 2015 and my major is Exercise Science. EIU is my second home I have never thought the professors here would be so friendly and helpful. Dr. Owen, chair of the department received us so well and the office administrator, Mrs. Dhom was very friendly and helped us in selecting subjects and understanding the courses. Professors are experienced, have great knowledge and are inspirational. Class sizes of about 15 give the best atmosphere to interact with professors. This program also has a study abroad program that takes students to United Kingdom for global knowledge.

Our university is fully secured and the city has a very low crime rate with almost no crime. On-campus there are onsite phone and alarms to use when you are in need. A fully established text book library has a number of text books that you can have for a full semester. Tuition fees are not expensive and there are even scholarships and grants. Many of the international students received on-campus jobs that are really good.

The international student’s office takes care of international students and Mr. Vicker is very good person, and always he is ready to assist the students and in solving their issues and helping them. We will never face a problem with support of these persons.

EIU is a safe, affordable and friendly university. You not only get a certificate of your education but also good knowledge, friends and beautiful memories.
