Stephen Swords received his degrees in literary study from the University of Chicago, the University of Wisconsin/Eau Claire, and the University of Colorado/Boulder. With a primary interest in nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature and culture, he teaches a wide variety of courses, with a particular interest in the literary dimension of the general education program and the departmental major.
