Parley Ann Boswell teaches American literature from the Colonial period through early twentieth century, and film studies courses. She has a special interest in American culture, and has published on popular literature from the Colonial period through twenty-first-century Hollywood, including Reel Rituals (Popular Press, 1999) Edith Wharton on Film (Southern Illinois University Press, 2007), and most recently, Pregnancy in Literature and Film (McFarland Press, 2014).
