Carol Jean Dudley has taught writing at Eastern since 1993. She is also active in the University Professionals of Illinois, having served as a member of the contract negotiating team, the executive committee, and as an EIU representative to the UPI House of Delegates, Illinous Federation of Teachers (IFT), and American Federation of Teachers (AFT). Prior to joining the faculty at Eastern, she taught at a number of other institutions, including the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Lewis and Clark Community College, and McKendree College. She has also worked as the assistant editor of Papers on Language and Literature and as an academic advisor at the University of Cincinnati.
