HOME                                  The George Pullman Team Jason      When I first started learning about George Pullman, I never heard of him After studying about George Pullman I learned that he was an engineer.  He invented the sleeping car.  Everyone that worked for him had to live in the town, Pullman. The workers did not like the rules that George Pullman made for the town. The workers went on strike and lost. Joe    When I started I knew that George Pullman was an engineer.  He improved train travel and made it more comfortable for the passengers.  After I studied I knew that when President Lincoln died, Mrs. Lincoln wanted to travel on George Pullman's sleeping car.  The train companies had to remodel the bridges and platforms.  I liked studying about George Pullman. Nolan     When I first started project WOW I did not know who George Pullman was.  Then I learned that he built the sleeping car.  When he was young he liked to whittle.  The workers went on strike and lost.  I liked learning about George Pullman. Lori     I learned many interesting facts about the times and life of George Pullman.  I enjoyed working with the third grade students as we learned about Mr. Pullman and the people who were a part of his rise to success.
