Mission Statement of the EIU Fraternity & Sorority Community

The Eastern Illinois University Fraternity & Sorority Community prides itself in tradition and academic excellence. We aim to further develop men and women in the areas of integrity, leadership, and high moral values in order to better ourselves and the community through service.

The fraternity & sorority community at Eastern Illinois University consists of 26 chapters, three governing council, Lambda Alpha Delta new member council, three honor societies, and about 1,450 undergraduate members.

Fraternity men and sorority women are involved in all aspects of campus life, and support for the Charleston community.

News & Events

  • Congratulations to Alpha Phi and Sigma Pi, 2016 Greek Week Overall Champions.

  • Congratulations to Alpha Gamma Delta and Sigma Chi on repeating as Intramural Champions for 2015/16, and Sigma Sigma Sigma winning the Sportsmanship Award.

  • EIU Greek Week 2017 is  tentatively scheduled for April 1 to 8. Tugs Finals will be April 8, Airband is on April 1, and Greek Sing on April 2.
