Eastern’s faculty and students are invited to submit a proposal to present a paper/creative work at the symposium of the Interdisciplinary Center for Global Diversity. All topics from all disciplines in keeping with the mission of the ICGD are welcome: a greater awareness of global diversity and interdisciplinary approaches to African American, Asian, Latin American, and Women’s Studies. Students with a paper written for a class which deals with these areas of study are especially encouraged to participate. All participating student projects are eligible for ICGD’s student award competition.

The inaugural symposium is scheduled at 9:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-3:30 pm on Friday April 9 at Room 1895, the MLK, Jr. University Union (Detailed symposium schedule is subject to change, if necessary). Lunch will be provided for all presenters at the venue.

To participate, please submit a 200-words abstract online by noon, Friday, March 26. The ICGD’s Interdisciplinary Academic Programs Committee will review the proposals and inform the applicants concerning their participation by the first week of April.
