Eastern Illinois University announces that it will be holding an Eastern Reads experience for university administrators. Throughout the month of July, we will discuss Robin DiAngelo’s best-selling and timely White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism (Beacon Press, 2018). The conversations will take place via Zoom and will be facilitated by members of the university faculty, staff and administration. It is our hope that the book will inspire a productive dialog about the racism and white privilege at our institution, in our community, and our country. Faculty and staff are welcome to join; those who are unable to do so this summer will have the opportunity to participate in further discussions in the Fall.

Conversations will take place on Tuesdays at 1pm on the following dates: June 30th, July 7th, July 14th, and July 21st.
