Building Aspirations Towards Positivity Annual Scholarship

Description:  Established in 2015, this scholarship was created to assist minority students with a financial need in the following areas: Pre-Law, School of Business, School of Family and Consumer Sciences, Sociology and Special Education. Criteria for selection are as follows: The recipient(s) must be a part-time or full-time junior student accepted to Eastern Illinois University.The recipient(s) must have a declared major in one of the following areas: Pre-Law, School of Business, School of Family and Consumer Sciences, Sociology, and Special Education. The minimum overall GPA must be 2.75. Financial need must be a consideration. Preference given to applicant(s) from the Chicago and surrounding areas. Preference shall be given to a minority student. Recipient(s) are eligible to apply again provided he/she continues to meet criteria. The award shall be announced in the spring and paid in the fall semester to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
