Harry Frost Chemistry Scholarship Fund

Description:  Established in 2015, this scholarship was created to provide financial support for a well-rounded student aspiring to pursue a career as a chemist. Criteria for selection are as follows: The recipient must be a full-time junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in chemistry or teacher certification with chemistry specialization accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 2.75. A one page statement of career goals must be included with the application. Financial need is a consideration. First preference is given to a non-traditional student. Second preference is given to a student employed for at least 20 hours per week in addition to their course load. The recipient(s) nay be eligible to apply for the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria. The award(s) shall be announced in the spring and paid in the fall semester to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
