Robert DeBolt '62 Technology Scholarship

Description:  Established in 2013 by Robert DeBolt, a former Industrial Arts teacher in the Chicago, Illinois suburbs, and then subsequently an attorney, this scholarship was created to provide necessary funding for undergraduate technology students enrolled full-time and working part-time. Criteria for selection is as follows: The recipient(s) must be undergraduate student(s) with a declared major in the School of Technology and accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of at least 2.75 and must be employed part-time with a minimum of 15 hours per week. Written documentation from the employer is required. The student(s) must write a one-page statement on career goals as they relate to career and technical education. Preference for selection is as follows: a full-time undergraduate student(s) majoring in Career and Technical Education and a full-time undergraduate student(s) majoring in any program in the School of Technology. Financial need is a consideration. The recipient(s) may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria. The award(s) shall be announced in the spring and paid in the fall semester to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
