Dr. John L. Roberts Scholarship in Management

Description:  Established in 2011, this scholarship was created by Dr. John L. Roberts, originally from Arcola, and longtime professor in the College of Business at Eastern Illinois University, in order to provide support for students from Coles and surrounding counties. Criteria for selection are as follows: The recipient must be a full-time student, of at least sophomore standing, majoring in management, and accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient(s) must have graduated from a high school in one of the following counties: Coles, Shelby, Moultrie, Cumberland, Clark, Edgar, or Douglas. The recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need is a consideration. The recipient(s) may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria. The award(s) shall be announced in the spring and paid in the fall semester to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
