Edward Mac and Barbara Corley Undergraduate Economics Scholarship

Description:  Established in 2013, This scholarship was created for the purpose of honoring Dr. Edward "Mac" Corley who retired as Professor of Economics at EIU after 36 years, and his wife, Mrs. Barbara Corley; and for providing financial assistance to an accomplished EIU undergraduate Economics major. Criteria for selection are as follows: The recipient must be a full-time undergraduate junior or senior student enrolled and majoring in Economics at Eastern Illnois University. The recipient must have academic integrity, outstanding character, and show promise of a successful career in Economics. The recipient must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need is not a consideration. The recipient may be able to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria. The award shall be announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient attending Eastern Illinois University.
