Eileen and Reuben Seltzer Scholarship for Adult Learners

Description:  Established in 2013, this scholarship was created to honor Eileen and Reuben Seltzer and their strong support of education while providing assistance to students enrolled in the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) program. Eligible recipient(s) must be at least a part-time student majoring in the Bachelor of General Studies Program and accepted to Eastern Illinois University. At the time of the award, recipient(s) shall have completed at least 6 hours in the Bachelor of General Studies program. The recipient(s) must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0. Financial need is not a consideration. Preference shall be given to applicants whose residence is Chicago or surrounding areas. The recipient(s) may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria. The award(s) shall be announced in the fall and paid in the spring semester to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University.
