Established in 2014, this scholarship was created to honor Dr. Bill Wootton, former professor of Accounting in the School of Business at Eastern Illinois University. Criteria for selection are as follows: The recipient must be a full-time junior or senior student majoring in Accounting and accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient must be enrolled in or have completed the following course: ACC3250 Financial Accounting Theory II. Financial need shall only be a consideration if two candidates are equally qualified, but only one can be awarded. Recipients may only receive the award once. The award(s) shall be announced in the spring and paid in the fall semester for junior recipient(s) or spring semester for senior recipient(s) to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University. The award(s) shall be issued annually.
