The recipient(s) must be either a full-time or part-time student, accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The student must have at least a 3.0 major GPA, or at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA without a declared major. Financial need to a consideration. Priority shall be given to student(s) accepted into the Summer Archaeology Program in Belgium, as evidenced by a letter of nomination from the program director. Should this program be discontinued, funds remaining may be awarded to a History major accepted into another study abroad program, as evidenced a written statement outlining their program of choice and its relevancy to his/her education goals. Each applicant must provide a letter of nomination from a current faculty member. With the guidance of Study Abroad faculty mentors, the recipient(s) must agree to communicate reflections of the experience to the Eastern Illinois University community upon their return.
