Description

At the time of application, the candidate(s) must either: have applied to Eastern Illinois University to become a full-time student majoring in Science with Teacher Certification, Physics specialization; currently enrolled at Eastern Illinois University as a freshmen, sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Science with Teacher Certification, Physics specialization. The recipient(s) must be interested in teaching high school physics. Preference shall be given to graduates of a high school located in Coles County. When the actual scholarship monies are to be awarded, the selected recipient must be enrolled in good standing at Eastern Illinois University as a full-time student majoring in Science with Teacher Certification, Physics Specialization. The award(s) shall be payable in the fall semester following the spring semester selection of the recipient. The award proceeds shall be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending Eastern Illinois University. have applied to EIU to become a full-time Freshman student majoring in Science with Teacher Certification, Physics Specialization. The recipient must be interested in teaching high school Physics. Although not a requirement, preference shall be given to graduates of Charleston High School. When the actual scholarship monies are to be awarded, the selected candidate must already be accepted and enrolled in good standing at EIU as a full-time Freshman student majoring in Science with Teacher Certification, Physics Specialization.
